We bought a new Trailmanor and it has exposed us to some things that are really neat. First is the solar panel. It is great. It is an 80 watt unit that mounts on the roof and has a controller inside. It keeps the batteries charged without needing a battery charger as I did before.

The trailer has two (2) 6-volt batteries. Since my PUP had a 12 volt system, I thought that all this talk about 6-volt batteries was silly. Wrong! Trailmanor knows what they are doing!

Why do PUPs have small and cheap tires? Good tires and LARGER tires cut a lot of worry.

I like what I've seen of Trailmanors.

But they're just waaaay too expensive for me to consider.

Trailmanors are nice trailers. They are priced way out of my league though.

You can always check out used 1s. We bought a 2003 2720 in Nov. 2006 for less than 1/3 of what the 1st owners paid. The NADA still lists our unit at over 1/2 of the original new price.

Because of the low fridge, high beds, and a somewhat more involved setup, the missus and I have been looking at conventional travel trailers because of her chronic back problems. So far, nothing comes close to comparing to our Trailmanor in functionality for our camping style, as well as a light weight, quality product. And as the gas prices go up, the probability of us buying a conventional travel trailer goes down.

I have checked the used market: There's currently a '04 Trailmanor 3124KB for sale nearby. They want $15,460 for it (full disclosure: I haven't inquired about it, nor researched to see if the asking price is reasonable).

I understand that they hold their value because of their quality construction - but they're still out of my price range, even on the used market...

I would like to know who or where says they hold their value better than any other RV officially. I'm not talking about anything the factory printed or said or a TM ower.

I was considering a Trailmanor before buying the Hemlock. The only thing I didn't like was no slide out and at the time I could only find the shorter ones.

If that 04 is in good shape it's most likely worth the 15grand or more....considering the prices I was considering a year ago.
