Good Evening
I need some cleaning help. I purchased a Teton Fiver and it has a carpeted roof. The roof is dirty around the stove and the ceiling fan. Does anyone have any ideas on how to clean it? I am afraid of the carpet machines as I don't want to loosen the glue. Has anyone out there had a similar problem.
There might have been other posts but I did not find them on the search.
Thanks
Pam

I had great luck with 409's Oxy cleaner. Not the regular stuff. Just sprayed it on and let it dry, took all the discolored stuff off without changing the color. I had tried my carpet cleaner hand-held attachment, didn't cause any problems, but didn't work well either.

Get on the NUWAOWNERS.ORG website because their units have carpet as does mine and I remember reading how to clean them. Just do a search for the post

Thanks for all the replies. I think part of it is grease over the stove or grease from steam, don't know but black and sort of hangs off the ceiling. Since I just bought it I am assuming they did not use the vent when cooking inside. I will try the 409 Oxyclean and hope
Thanks again

I recommend diluted Woolite. Worked on stains in the cabin of my boat very well.

I dilute some woolite/liquid carpet cleaner or use foam carpet cleaner and spray it around the area. You'd better not be standing directly under it and looking up when you do it. After waiting a few minutes, you can blot the area with towels or paper towels until it comes clean or I use my little green machine to suck out the excess. Do be prepaed for that area to be a little whiter when finished compared to the surrounding ceiling carpet but after a week, it's not noticable anymore. Hope this help, Diana
