OK...change of plans. I posted earlier this week that we were traveling north on I65 from Pensacola and stopping over in the Bowling Green KY area. However. We won't be able to pull out of here until later in the day and I'm estimating a stopping point around Nashville.
We are looking for easy on/off....basically a place to plug in and get AC, a necessity for a good night's sleep.

Any suggestions?

Easiest on/off south of Nashville is the Texas T Campground , just east of I-65 N, at exit 27 (35.372535,-86.882672).

I agree with tnt4utvols on the Texas T Campground. Stayed there a few times. I can't think of anything north of there until you get to Bowling Green.

Texas T could be just far enough south that in the morning you can have time for a nice breakfast pack things up and miss any rush hour traffic at Nashville. It's about a 100 miles to the KY line from there.

The worst thing I could say about it is, that it is close to I-65 but an AC running should block the traffic noise.

We stayed at the Texas T CG on our last trip North on I-65. Nice enough overnight stop. There is some noise from I-65. There is nothing around the campground in the way of stores, restaurants, or gas stations.

We left the CG fairly early and hit Nashville at about 9AM. Bad move. Traffic in Nashville is a nightmare. Be sure you keep alert because several interstates converge there and it is easy to miss a turn to stay on I-65 north.
