Hi,
I have a Roo 233 hybrid and there is a shelf above the dinette that will nicely hold my 13" television.
Just a question to all the experienced rv'ers out there: do you strap it down, or take it off the shelf put it on the floor when travelling?

if you strap it down, how? pictures?

thanks in advance
Bub

Our bedroom TV is on a shelf. We take it down each trip because the shelf folds down. Our den TV is tied down. It is on a corner cabinet. We bought the tie down kit from Camping World. It has been working for three years without any problems.

The living room LCD TV is screwed to a swivel pedestal, in addition to that I do use a 1-1/2 inch wide strap nylon as security. Mostly because there is not much room between the TV and slide out I don't want it shifting in transit.

We use these to hold our 23" lcd flat screen while traveling
Rest of time the TV is in the house.

You might be amazed at the amount of bouncing and shuffling that goes on back there when you are towing. Placing the poor TV on the floor in a corner with a throw pillow or similar in front of it would be safer.

I take the TV down, and actually wrap a sleeping bag around it and put it in the bathroom. The sleeping bag cushions any movement, and the bathroom is so small that the TV won't end up on the other side of the trailer when we stop!

We just put on 27" LCD flat screen face down on the double bed at the head and a pillow in front of it. I would be afraid of mounting it hard or letting it take the abuse of either the plastic pedestal or even a mount when traveling. Only takes like 2 min. to carry from the bedroom and hook it up and less than a min to take it down.

I have a 13inch with the built in dvd player. I strapped it in with 4 of the tv hold down straps you can get at camping world, never has moved a speck and that is after some off roading with the trailer.
