We are camphosting at Bryce Canyon now and there is this beautiful bird that has decided to nest on our slideout, under the awning. So far nothing has been built yet, but we are trying to scare it away and are getting really tired. Any good suggestions on how we can get this bird to go somewhere else?

Friends of ours have a rubber snake in their garden to effectively scare the birds. Don't know?

Do you have a beanie baby, or stuffed animal of sorts? I had to place one of these atop of an outdoor light because we were getting the house painted, and this pair of Jays liked to make their nest there. It worked.

May we all have safe travels.

How big of bird is it? Large enough for a meal? I can come over and stand outside with my shotgun........do you suppose it will taste like chicken?

I have seen stuff that looks like waving strips of tin foil in some gardens. Perhaps some duct tape and tin foil might work.

You might get a small plastic tarp and tape it over your awning and to your slide and close the gap until the bird gets discouraged. Probably only take a couple of days.
