Hang a CD disc. I used this for years around the house and pool. We have pine trees on one side. In the spring the birds nest and do the fly over and as they shift into second gear they drop something on the pool cover and the RV. I hung a few disc and rerouted their travel. It worked. Also they like to next over the lights around the home. Hang a CD disc. It's been working pretty well in central pa for several years. I too like the 410, but, you know.

I use large rubber spiders to keep the birds from pooping in my electronic rain gauge. The gauge unit sits on top of one of the outer deck posts. I just use plastic zip ties to mount two spiders on the top rail next to the gauge. There are still plenty of birds around, but they won't come within about 10 feet of the spiders. They sit on the deck rail on the other end of the deck.

If you NEED to use a gun because you feel your life is being threatened, why would you NOT shoot to kill??? I can assure you the individual it's pointed at isn't thinking the same, especially if they know they're entering occupied premises!!!

Rob, I have thought about that. My dad actually taught that if i was going to shoot someone, then shoot to kill. I have done that in the previous war we lost. I knew they were shooting to kill, so I did also, but you know, you have to live with that the rest of your life. I can tell you where I would shoot an intruder that would not stop, in the crouch. I think he or she is gonna loose most interest in what they are trying to accomplish at that point. I just hope it never comes to that. The only things we can't replace in life are out loved ones.

I really like the compact disc idea. It's sure worth a try.

I bought a cheap B-B Gun at a hardware store in Mackinaw City. Worked good at keeping the Sea Gulls off my roof in the early morning. They were obviously not as persistant as your bird, cause it only took one morning and they figured out that it stung like the dickens when they landed on my rig.

The CD idea might work. Get one with those rapper/gangsta fellows and turn it up real loud. Can't think of any intelligent living things that would go near your rig then!
