I'm apparently in the minority. Yes, I drink it, bathe in it, cook with it, and I make coffee with it. I will even refill the tank from a non-domestic, unchlorinated mountain spring. Been drinking it for years...
Filters? We don't need no stinking filters!

We rarely drink the water from the tanks. It's not because of the taste or that we're worried about anything harmful, we use the bottles out of convienence. I have found that I am more likely to drink water if I keep the bottles of water right next to the cans of pop in the fridge.

Sure do. Our pot set and a few other things aren't dishwasher safe and so we have to do it by hand. I have several family members and friends whose kitchens are too small for a dishwasher and so they use the tap water for everything. Unless the water stinks (literally) or seems a bit dirty, we don't boil the water to wash dishes while we're camping.

This thread really makes me laugh. People who drink bottled water because they are afraid of germs and such should probably stay home. What do you do when your kids go out and actually play in the dirt?
I fully understand the bottled water issue if you have bad tasting water or something like that but those cases are rare. We love our water at home. I make sure to clean and sanitize the system each year and we load up on good old home water when we go out. I am pushing 60 and have yet to get sick from drinking water from home.
Our trailer came with a built in filter at the sink and we do use that but mainly for the taste. My life is complicated enough to have to worry about packing water on top of all the other stuff we have to pack.
Sit back, enjoy the view, drink a little water, eat a little dirt and the world will be a better place. And, I would add, we would all be a little healthier in the long run. Gotta build up that immune system.
We have wonderful well-water from home - so we are spoiled! We are conscious of weight in towing - we don't load up the water tank unless we think we will need a lot of on-board water.
So - we buy Poland Springs (hey - we are from Maine) in the big jugs to use for coffee, drinking water and iced tea.
The rest- it can come from the campground or our tank - that is fine.
