Care full
it depends on what type of wheel sims you have....On mine the lug nut covers come off first....then the lug nuts....then the center cap and then the wheel cover is popped off the rim....
If you can't tell take it by a tire shop or RV repair shop. They should be able to tell you how yours come off.

If it's a Ford, then you remove two of the lug nuts in the center of the hub cap.The whole cap comes off. Avril

It depends on who made them, and which model. More so than what make of chassis, what make of motorhome. People can tell you how theirs come off, and what works for them will destroy yours.
Some wheel "simulators" (Dicor) have their own fake lug nuts, two of which hold on the wheel cover.
Other simulators may have their own hold-on nuts, but you have to first remove the nut covers.
Yet others have covers over the lug nuts, and use two or more of the actual the lug nuts to hold on the cover.
Some wheel covers pry off.
Some hub caps pry off.
You should have instructions in your documentation packet.

Im glad this was brought up.
Iv got the same on my Monaco.
Iv got a small wrench that says its to remove the "nuts" on the cover.
On one of the covers, I tried all the nuts and they seem to just spin on the cover.

Two of the "nuts" on each simulator may have little dimples. These would be the ones to remove, the others are fake. Sometimes the nuts get so tight that the little wrench is useless.
Frankly, after 6 months of removing these covers every time I wanted to check tire pressure or lug nut torque, I just took them off for good, stored them in the garage. Spare me the cosmetic accessories that get in the way of function.

My stainless steel covers came with the special flimsy T-handle socket wrench and instructions to use only that wrench to remove or install the covers. There are two cover nuts per wheel that hold the covers on. These cover nuts have an indent on one side to identify them and the screw onto the the threads that extend past the lug nuts.
But after getting new tires, I found that the provided wrench just was not capable of getting the cover nuts off. The tire installer must have used an impact wrench to put the covers back on. I had to buy a 1+1/8" socket to get the covers off, so I could get the wheel lug nuts off.

Granted, my chrome wheel simulators are on a Chevy; but Pacific Dualies has a Chrome Cap that merely pops off the wheel liner. You use a special hooked tool to grab the cap and pull it off. Then you see the actual lug nuts which hold the wheel and liner. Do you have a one piece wheel cover or hub cap; or do you have a chrome liner? Is there a name on the chrome wheel simulator if you have that style?
