I got a quote from the local gear shop. $850 for either 3.73 or 4.10 gears, parts and labor. But, the guy says I need to recalibrate the engine computer, which can be done with a $350 Diablo. So, we're talking $1,150, plus the hassles involved.
I think I'll drive in 3rd for a while, and spend the bucks elsewhere.

Interesting your Z71 has 3.42 gears.. in 04 you could not do that.. in a Z71 package. unless someone ordered it and then backed out of the deal..
