We are in the final planning stages on getting our coach painted with a full body paint. The question has arisen as to whether we can have the "W" and the Journey DL painted on the motorhome. It seems there may be a copyright infringement.
For those who had their coaches painted, did you replace the manufacturer logo or did you have to order decals to be put on? That is what we have been told we will have to do if we want these 2 things back on the coach. I am not personally interested in decals as this is one of the reasons we are having it painted in the first place.

Heck, I spent a lot of time with a heat gun and goo gone to get the logos off our rig. I love our full body paint, not the silly names stuck on it.

The logo was the first thing to go on my Newmar. The dealer wouldn't remove. I removed. I personally think a coach looks better without the name of the builder.

You can paint them back on. A sign shop should be able to make a stencil which will work like the painted on pin stripes you see some dealers using. Also as long as you don't mislabel ( put Ford on a Chevy) when you put the logo etc. on the coach your good legally. Good luck.

If you insist on a logo, I would put on a "prevost" insignia myself.
the neatest paint job I ever saw, and I hate those with the big swirlies, etc. don't want anything gaudy myself, just "pretty", was on a Foretravel that was graduated top to bottom with something like rose to reddish (OK whatever it was it was gorgeous, trust me) had no swirls, and they were towing a minivan that was painted identically, down to small "foretravel" labels on the sides.

The only way I would intentionally put free advertising on my motor coach is if they paid me! They could pay me by the month or by the mile.

Hi Clay, Can you tell me who is going to paint your coach and a ball park on the cost? We also have a 02 Journey DL and I have been thinking of getting it painted.

When I had my coach painted we removed the Stainless steel name plates and used the same font had them airbrushed in one of the coach colors. No pop rivets and dirt under the old logos. We think its much better and the comments we get seem to agree.
