We just bot our 31' Tioga 2 mos ago. It added $501 to our insurance premium. Then our agent shopped the policy and now it costs $444. That includes a discount for wrapping it in with our cars and house.

I'm driving a "A" and pay about %524.00 a year, wrapped in with the home and a few other cars. Note that it has road side, rental and hotel tied in with it should we need it. Bill

It doesn't cost anything to shop around. I finally went with Progressive, who had the best rates for ME....a lot depends on where you live, what you're buying, and what your driving record is. Be aware that several of these plans are the same....Good Sam and GMAC are the same (if I remember correctly)...and I'm sure there are others. Where I live, S.E. NC, Allstate won't issue a policy, even though I've got my house and cars with them....go figure??

The quick answer to your question.....probably $500-700....but as said, it will vary...and the value on the Super-C is going to be quite a bit more than my 8-year old Winnie! And that may almost double your rates, with collision, etc.

Look at the brite side....it'll be less than your fuel bill!! LOL...ouch!

With our first motorhome we went with Allstate who already had our home and auto coverage. The cost was reasonable so we were happy... until we had to file a claim. I learned quickly that while Allstate (and likely other major traditional insurers) does a good job on autos, they were not set up to smoothly handle an RV. I did finally get everything taken care of but it was a communications nightmare and I ended up having to do most of the legwork.

After that experience we moved to an RV insurnace agency who hooked up up with Progressive. A few years later when we had to file a claim the difference was like between night and day. I made one phone call to an RV-knowledgeable insurance person and was immediately hooked up with the right people and everything went smoothly and quickly with no problems.

It could be less than $200 a year for liability only, depending on where you live, your personal risk factors and claims history, and the insurance company. But that depends very much on where you live, because just liability in a large northeastern city might cost ten times as much as what someone pays in rural Kansas or Nebraska. My cousin pays $3000 a year for liability insurance in New York.

It could be more than a $1000 a year, for full collision and comprehensive coverage, depending on the same risk factors, and the cost of add-on features you choose (gap coverage, replacement coverage, contents coverage, loss-of-use, etc). The greater the insurance company's financial exposure, the greater the premium.

That it costs $450 for someone to insure a $60,000 MH in Indiana, or costs me $300 to insure a $40,000 MH in Oklahoma, says little about coverage costs for a $250,000 MH in Schenectady.

The only way to find out what it might cost you is to contact an agent and get a quote for the coverage you want. What other people guess you might pay is irrelevant.

In Kentucky, 2008 Jayco Greyhawk, full coverage, Progressive, $432.40 annually. While I have not had any experiences with progressive and our RV, my wife has had an experience with Progressive involving our auto coverage. I can not believe the service could possibly be any better than what we received. It is not my common practice to compliment any insurance company. I just wish Progressive offered health care insurance.

Our 2003 Dutchman 23J with full coverage and $250ded cost me $387yr through Geico. It includes roadside and trip reimbursement. That is wrapped with my two cars. I switched to Geico after 15yrs with Allstate. I got much better coverages for less than I was paying with Allstate. Three days after I switched Bambi decided to commit suicide on the passenger side of my Trailblazer. Geico was very efficient and complete on the services provided. I even got a lincoln for my rental

Insurance is state regulated, both for coverages and rates, so answers from another state may or may not be that helpful.

Rates for cities, as mentioned, may be much higher than for rural areas. Rates can vary from county to county in the same state.

And what is "full coverage"? This is almost a meaningless term. Full coverage can mean you just have a little bit of several coverages. But are those coverages adequate - especially the liability insurance limits? That is like saying that your motorhome is "fully equipped". What exactly is fully equipped?

Go with Progressive as there is not other insurance for an RV that is any more reasonable with the coverage. Dane
