Joe, I love trains and would like to see that. This made me think about two "train things".

Around 8 I played with the same Lionel Train set my mom had at the same age. She still has it in a box somewhere but it sat in a basement flood and not in good shape from what I hear. One of these days I’ll check it out to see if it can brought back to life again.

Second was hunting a Georgia deer lease in 94’ and putting my climbing stand on the furthest tree from the wood line and closest to the tracks running through property at full speed. Never did that again!

Anyone on here model trains? I model G-Scale and N-Scale. I"m not a train buff like most on here but I certainly like to play with them. Wanted to put a set in my back yard but my wife and I decided to sell out house and move into something a little bigger with less street traffic. Hopefully I'll have a set going in my new backyard when ever that might be.

H-O scale here, by 8x8 L platform. Been in storage for well over a decade. Need to get it out and find my designs I drew for improving it.

HO here too. Had to store the RR stuff when we sold the old place. Slowly working on building a train room in the basement of the new place. But that is moving at a snails pace. Going to an RR historical society convention in Wenatchee, WA this month in the motor home.

OK you rail history buffs - we took and excursion trip today on a Budd car.

So, can you tell us where this took place, what is unique about this rail car, and what engine and transmission powers this car?

Hint - don't slobber when giving your answer.

N scale here.

"turn of the century" BNSF (you really have to be into the hobby to understand that reference)

Currently have almost 40 locomotives, mostly KATO GM/EMD SD70MACs, SD40-2s, and GE Dash 9 44CWs. Some Atlas SD60s, and SD60Ms.

Don't really have much of a layout. Just really got caught up in collecting locomotives, and rolling stock.

Also have 90 Deluxe Innovations Bethgon Coalporters.

Most of my locomotives have never even been tested to see if they work or not.

I do have 1 GM/EMD SD70MAC locomotive in HO scale that I scratchbuilt from plans that I got from Railroad Model Craftsman magazine.

I took my Grand kids to 6 flags over Ga.last week and rode Thomas the Train, and the train that rides around the grounds. Does that count?

Engineer9860, do you have or are you going to put in a DCC system? I too
have a pile of N-Scale and G-Scale stuff but as of right now, its all boxed up.
Over the years, depending on where I lived, I'd have a layout then have to put it up for one reason or another.
