I am debating between the Brookside 297RBH Rear Bunk house:

http://www.sunnybrookrv.com/brookside/floorplans/297BHS.php

and the Cougar X-lite 29BHS rear bunk house:

http://www.keystone-xlite.com/?page=detail&year=2009&model=29BHS

I want an RV with a solid frame and good quality. I currently have an Open Road by Pilgrim and I am not impressed with the quality. the wooden frame seems to shift over time causing doors to not open and close correctly and the paneling on the inside to bulge out.

I'd really like to hear your thoughts on these two models. The AX5 aluminium frame on the Sunnybrook looks like its very solid. Is the Cougar's fram comprable?

Not to offend any current owners, but I didn't like the floor stability of the Cougar x-lite's. It's a personal issue, and frankly it might not even be a big deal; however I walk out of any trailer when I feel a soft or flexible floor under my feet.

I have a 2008 Brookside 5er, and like it very much. I did a fair amount of research before buying, and am still happy with my decision.

What was your biggest reason for going with Sunnybrook? Was it the quality? Is the AX5 frame as solid as it looks in the pictures?

I am on my second Sunnybrook. Both have been almost trouble free and very well built. Neither has ever been back to the dealer for any kind of repair and what few problems I have had were my fault - not Sunnybrooks. We use our trailer very heavily including living in it for three months at a time in the winter.

We have had good luck with our Sunnybrook for the most part. I think the build features of the Sunnybrook is superior to the Cougar from the frame up.

The AX5 6 sided true 2" frame, exterior grade plywood decking, 10" frame & outriggers, large carrying capacity axles and more.

We love our08' Cougar 29 FKS No real problems with it, We have had it since last July. We had an 05' Wildcat before and the new one is just as nice. Only real issue so far was the chrome rims rusted Real bad, but within a week of talking to my dealer Keystone sent out new rims and payed for the swap out.

Quality of the design and construction, and my inspection at a few RV shows. I have seen a lot of new units which were at the shows, and already needed warranty work. We are planning to use our rv for a long time.
