Hi: 51 years next April. It is interesting that most who replied to this post here have been married for quite a few years. Bill

First of all, MANY CONGRATS for 50 years of marriage!!

My bride and I will celebrate 25 years on Nov 26!

I promised her 50 years, and then we'd renegotiate the contract. She's definitely the BEST that's ever happened to me in my life. Of our first 14 years of marriage, I was physically away from her for 11 years, as we were both active duty Navy. What other woman would stick with a man with that kind of absence pattern? Wouldn't trade her in on a newer model for anything!

We'll be celebrating our 10th Anniversary on Sept 12. It surprised me that DH even brought it up. He wants to go back to the country club where we got married and have dinner.

I dragged him into camping shortly after we got married. Our first trip together we borrwed a friends pop up and went to the Grand Canyon. The weather called for partly cloudy and in the 60's. Shortly after we arrived it began to snow. We foze our bottoms off because the pop had no heater. Even after that I talked him into buying our own pop up with a heater ofcourse and we've been camping ever since. Now were draggin' the kids with us.

15 years of wedded bliss on July 3rd. We met when I was 9 and he was 8. What were we doing when we met? CAMPING!

May the road be free of potholes,
and the headwinds be not strong.
May the fuel be not on empty,
and the road to camp not long.
