Well I worked 12 hours Friday night, 8 hours Saturday night -- All this after working 48 hours Mon-Thurs. So of course NO-CAMPING. Sunday (Dad Day) The boy & I washed/waxed all 3 cars, then he gave me my gift. Him & DW decided we should all 3 get a season pass for Six Flags (St Louis) We are only 12 miles from there. So we all went to Six Flags today. Had a blast. Great Day.
We are scheduled to work 12 hr nights 6 days wk. till after July 4th. So camping may be slim this year. YUCK!!!!

The girls and I went camping, left Mom home to clean/rearrange her craft area.
The campground was full up! Kids everywhere, having fun laughing and running. Did have the unfortunate experience to have the rudest, loudest, most disrespectful, inconsiderate family camping that I have seen in the sight across the road. But it still was a great weekend, had some weather roll through on Saturday night, but only for about 30 min. then it was clear skys again.

We took today off to extend the weekend and it has been drizzly/rainy since Saturday morning but we're enjoying the peace and quiet. Surprisingly quiet at the campground for a Fathers Day weekend.

We went to our local campground and it was full up too. I'm glad to see it booming, but on a sad note it is making it harder to get a last minute site. The gas prices have boosted the local campers coming to stay at the campground.
It's not the destination, but the journey that counts!
I've been spending a lot time at our yearly spot this year and most weekends this year have had very few campers, includind Memorial day. I can't believe it's the gas prices as most campers that come here are from Chicago and the suburbs near here. It sure is peaceful, but a little out of town company would be a welcome sight. Tom
