Okay people I am little lost here. We are looking at 2 different coaches are Tiffen products and here is the test for me.
2004 Allegro Bay 34' with about 22000 miles and the asking price is 59999.00. We went to look at it and found out it has a workhorse frame.
Another Allegro 2006 TSA with 7000 miles and workhorse frame. But it is in Louisiana. The price last week was 64995.00 this week I don't know.

Should I start steering towards the 2006 model? This is our first A and want to make sure. We have had a class c for 4.5 years and time to move up.

Thank you

Have you tried posting your question on Tiffinrvnetwork.com? They also have a classified section with alot of low mileage late model coaches.

Big difference between an Allegro and an Allegro Bay. The Allegro is Tiffins entry level gasser, the Allegro Bay much more up scale. They are not apples to apples.

There are 24 hours in every day - it all depends on how you choose to use them.

If one is an Allegro Bay and the 06 is an Allegro than you will be looking at trading an upper end gas coach for an entry level coach that is newer and with fewer miles. If the 06 is also a Bay then that price is pretty good.

A new Bay runs about $25,000 more than the Allegro... lots of upgrades.

Last letter of the floorplan A means Allegro, Last letter B it is a Bay. H for Phaeton P for Bus, and Z for Zephyr. The first letter denotes number of slides. Q=quad, T Triple, D dual.

There have been exceptions to the above. So mostly this is right. Middle letter in the three letter models denotes floorplan, but not sure if there is a method to it.

Many mfg's use this format, especially with regards to slides.

Asking price means nothing. The only price that matters is what you end up paying. The 2002 may have a high asking price with his hope that someone pays that amount but he may negotiate. The 2006 may have set the price low to get out from under payments or some other reason such as the dealer offered $55,000 on trade and he thought he would sell it himself.

The "asking price" does matter, THEY are 2 different coaches...

Is there that much of a difference between the Bay and the other? And I just learned that with both A/C systems on with a 5.5 gen set you can't run the micro. It this true? I guess what I am trying to find out is it worth driving to Bossier City just to look at it? I kind of like the low mileage and 2 years newer but if it's not worth a 4 hour drive I am not going. Maybe I am trying to move to quick on this.

I would suggest that you get as complete list of the features of both of the RVs as you can, then go to NADA to check their pricing, then go to the tiffinrvnetwork.com and consult with that forum. There are several differences between an Allegro and an Allegro Bay but only you can decide which differences are worth what price after you get all the info you can. Tiffin makes a good coach and has superb customer service.
