We had a similar situation in a Las Vegas campground. The campground was just like a Wally World parking lot...packed like sardines! If you put out your slides, you can't extend your awning without almost touching your neighbor's slide. LOL
The owners gave us several sites to choose from and we just backed our 40 footer in the first one we saw was empty. About an hour later, we had a knock at the door and it was an older gentleman and his wife with a good size 5er. He wanted to know if I would back it into one of the sites for him. No problemo....Backed them in and they were very appreciative. My good deed for the day.
Only, that is not the end of the story.....I would later find out, that the campground owner would refer people who were afraid of backing into the small sites to contact me! I actually parked 4 rigs my first day at the campground.
I was more than happy to assist them and figured it was 4 good deeds for the day. You would think they should have given me a discount on my site rent....Nah...its Vegas.
Just last week I observed a MH pulling into a pull through site across from me and the man got out, plugged in the 30 amp cord, went inside and then came out again, started to check the cord, opened compartments, ect and looked bewildered. He walked away and then his Mother in law came out and looked at the electrical box. I walked over and asked if they had a problem. She said we have no electricity. I said I did not see him turn on the breaker at the pedestal when he hooked up, lets take a look. Sure enough he just plugged in and shut the door to the pedestal. I turned the breaker on, and left. When the man came back the Mother in law had a big smile as I guess she told him that it was fixed. By the way, it was a rental. Have to help our "future" RVers. I have also helped many people who could not figure how the awning operates.

It's a rare campground visit when I do not help a neighbor with a problem or give asked for advice. Just yesterday I spent an hour or more helping another RV'er with their WiFi computer setup.
I don't know of another thing that brings more pleasure than helping others.
I had to do that for a German couple who had a rental and just stopped for the evening in Hanksville. They had no idea how to hook up the water and sewer connections nor did they know how to find or turn on the propane. And they were set lose in the Utah badlands. I wonder about some rental companies and whether they worry about their equipment once it is on the road. I was sure then that they didn't worry about the renters.

I became an "instructor" out of self preservation. As the jack leg mechanic and electrician for an extended camping family of over thirty familes some with three generations and everything from tents to coachs I would get REAL tired of repairing the same things time after time. So teaching the correct way to use and maintain their equipment became a sideline to the repairs so I could at least spend some time in my own RV.
