Go to Remcotowing.com and pose your question. They are the foremost authority on what can and cannot be towed.

Your Tahoe is towable four down without any mods except to tow with. You need to follow the instructions in the owners manual for towing behind a motorhome. you will need a set of base plates for the 2004 Tahoe, a tow bar, braking system and lighting kit. You can order off the internet (Blue Ox, Roadmaster, etc) and do it yourself ot take to a RV dealer/svc outlet. Camping world sells required items also.

Well Cr...if your Tahoe is 4x4 and can be put in neutral, then you dont have anything to do, its towable. If its 2 wheel, then look at Remco as was suggested. Also you didnt mention what rv you have, if its a gasser, your Tahoe weights too much as its over 6000 lbs.

As Gary said, 4x4 is easy, 4x2 is a Remco call. You will also need a tow bar rated for over 6,000lbs. An aux tow brake, and mounting brackets for the Tahoe.

We have an older Roadmaster Blackhawk All-Terrain tow bar, their hidden hitch brackets and Brakemaster 9000. I've been very happy with this setup and would buy the same again for our Suburban.

I pulled a 05 Tahoe Z71 with my gasser motorhome. It weighed 5700 lbs and had a Blue Ox which was rated for 10K. I still have the Blue Ox base plate and was used very little that is FREE to anyone that could use it. Note: I did beef up the 5,000 lb Valley hitch on my Winnie before I towed it and used a aux braking system. Never had any problems and it really pulled great.
