Sousa Albums
Military Marching Band music
Sgt Barry Sadler
A couple older American Music albums
Play them every 4th; one year I got a 40.00 ticket for playing it too loud (some old guy who had front row tickets to the symphony that night was taking a nap and my music woke him). Known as the music man by the D.A. here.
40.00 to be an American? No problem. Bring it on... lol
2000 Pace Arrow Vision, 36B, 2 slides, Ford V10 - Live in it full time
1976 Ford F250 Ranger XLT
2003 Indian Chief
Patriot Guard Rider
This song still send chills down my spine after all of these years.
Eagle and the Hawk (Aerie)
Words and music by John Denver and Mike Taylor
I am the eagle, I live in high country
In rocky cathedrals that reach to the sky
I am the hawk and there's blood on my feathers
But time is still turning they soon will be dry
And all of those who see me, all who believe in me
Share in the freedom I feel when I fly....
Come dance with the west wind and touch on the mountain tops
Sail over the canyons and up to the stars
And reach for the heavens and hope for the future
And all that we can be and not what we are....
Lady Vixen and the Rat
2006 Arctic Fox 29-5T (Lady Vixen)
2002 K3500 w/8.1 "It's a gasser!"(The Rat)
Another John Denver song. This is probably more appropriate for Memorial or Veterans Day but those who served when I did during those turbulent times, this is for you.
Readjustment Blues
Just out of the infantry this morning,
I had to pay my dues across the sea,
But no one back in boot camp ever warned me,
What the readjustment blues would do to me.
"Welcome to Havana", said the pilot,
"We must have made a wrong turn on the way."
"Let's buy some cigars and keep it quiet,
If they don't know we're here we'll get away."
Just as I had realized he was joking,
I saw we were in Washington D.C.,
'Cause there was all the patriotic buildings.
Just like I had seen them on T.V.
It must have been a holiday, 'cause there was this parade.
People carried signs I couldn't read that they had made.
'Till I got closer and my heart fell to my socks;
There was a battle raging and The air was filled with teargas and rocks.
There was the flag I'd fought against so often,
The one I fought for hanging upside down,
The wind was blowing hard, the dirt was flying,
It made the city sky look dark and brown.
I saw a girl, she could have been my sister,
Except her hair was long and in her face,
She explained this was a demonstration,
Against the war and for the human race.
Now I've seen a lot of strange things in my travels,
Cannibals, yes, and aliens galore,
But I never thought I'd see so many people
Saying we don't want your + + + war!
The troops all had on uniforms
Just like the one I'd worn,
But they were all domestic and my duty tour was foreign.
They carried guns just like the ones across the sea,
Except this time I was the citizen
And they were pointing their guns at me,
Yes, I was just a citizen and
I was walking down the street,
And it was just then that the Readjustment Blues
Got through to me.

The Stars and Stripes Forever Lyrics
by John Philip Sousa - 1897
(This is per the lyric sheet from Shawnee Press, Inc
Catalog number A-0382 Arrainged yb Harry Simeone)
Let martial note in triumph float
And liberty extend its mighty hand
A flag appears 'mid thunderous cheers,
The banner of the Western land.
The emblem of the brave and true
Its folds protect no tyrant crew;
The red and white and starry blue
Is freedom's shield and hope.
May the nations of all the world attest
Every race, every color, and sta-tion
That the flag of the North and South and West
Is the flag of hope, the flag of Freedom's nation.
Hurrah for the flag of the free!
May it wave as our standard forever,
The gem of the land and the sea,
The ban-ner of--- the right.
Let despots remember the day
When our fathers with mighty endeavor
Proclaimed as they marched to the fray
That by their might and by their right
It waves forever.
Ban-ner of a free-dom lov-ing na-tion
Land of Lib-er-ty
Ban-ner of a strong and no-ble na-tion
Standard of the free
U-ni-ty and broth-er-hood in one new peo-ple blend
To the help-less poor, op-press'd a help-ing hand ex-=tend
Lift we hearts and voi-ces!
Live and die for conu-try!
Firm For-ev-er may she stand in jus-tice and in hon-or
Hur-rah, for the flag of the free
(Sa-lute the flag the red and white and blue)
May it wave as our stand-dard forever
(The em-blem of the loyal strong and true)
The gem of the land and the sea
(the land we love, the pilgram's pride)
The ban-ner of the right_________.
(Land of liberty where our fa-ther's died)
Let despots remember the day
(Let despots remember the day)
When our fat-hers with might-y en-deav-or
(When our fat-hers with might-y en-deav-or)
Pro-claim'd as they march'ed to the fray
(Pro-claim'd as they march'ed to the fray)
That in the Sky, the flag shall wave

The echo of the chorus grand.
Sing out for liberty and light,
Sing out for freedom and the right.
Sing out for Union and its might,
