We are on our second Jayco and have had no problems with either. They are good trailers in my opinion.

My 2002 Jayco Eagle has been free of any problems I didn't cause myself. I'm likely to buy another Jayco when I trade up.

Jayco is the only brand we have had. This will be our second season and so far nothing major. The Microwave stopped working. Not a big deal. We only use to reheat things. It is called camping anyway. They replaced it with no problems. From what we have experienced and what others have stated on here, Jayco makes a pretty good unit and their customer service is excellent. Congrates on the new rig and enjoy.

Thanks folks for all the responses. I am new to the TT world and my friends comment about it being kinda cheap in comparison with other models was not made in haste, he's a good friend and we were just discussing the so many different brands and types of trailers, when the quality of the Jayco came up. I have rented and been in quite a few TT over the years and you can sit in a travel trailer thats 3 years old and just look around and normally see what doesn't look right , or whats loose, stability of a table or chairs/couch, etc. I went through this thing with a fine tooth comb and though I truly believe it hasn't been used much the only thing that I can find wrong with it is a dent on the left front rock shield on the bottom (blue strip that runs the whole length of the trailer). The DVD w/ surround works great, all the appliances, doors and windows, vents, all work great and overall she seems to be in great shape. Anyway I'll probably have a million questions after each use in this baby so you'll probably see some posts from me on down the road. Plus living in Alaska I'll probably throw some pics in from time to time too. Oh and one more thing.....I dont plan on sleeping in it in the winter up here, -50 degrees F is quite chilly to be camping in an RV!......grin Take care

Your friend's opinion about Jayco being "kinda cheap" is IMO way off the mark. I've seen many competetive units that look a whole lot cheaper than Jayco, & very few that have better fit & finish. I have a Designer TT (unfortunately no longer available in the TT line) that's actually pretty upscale. You could spend more money than you will on Jayco, but get very little more for your money.

There are a lot of folks on here that swear by them.

I am one of those folks. Out of the four I've owned three were Jaycos. I bought my first Jayco in 1977. Second in 1980. Both I sold for almost what I paid new for them. Then I made the mistake of buying a Coachmen. It was trouble from the start. Now I own a 2000 Jayco 266 FBS. We love it. No problems at all. A quality and solid built camper. As for the price it seems to be in the neighborhood of others. I noticed in Jayco that the inside walls aren't flimsy like some of the others. Most use the same things like faucets, showers, etc. IMO the quality comes in how it was constructed from the frame, walls, subfloor. roof. Jayco or nothing for me.

We LOVE our Jayco Eagle 328RLS.Told Jayco was top-o-the-line. So we purchased from a reputable dealer, who by the way is also a good friend of ours and I know wouldn't steer us wrong. Our previous TT was a Coachman 24RBQ and we had lots o' headaches, couldn't wait to trade up. Good Luck with your new toy and Happy Trails!! ~ dennis ~

Are Jaycos the best or worst quality out there? Nope.

They are a very good buy though as the quality is very good for the price charged. But thats just my opinion.

This is our first Jayco, out of the 6 TT's that we have owned.

I now understand that you can pay more , and get less... this Jayco is the best unit that we have owned!

Keep in mind that you can pay more for a "high end" TT, but does it have a 2 + 1 warranty? (2 years on everything, with a 3rd year on the major structural components).

If a manufacturer believes in it's product, they will back it with a 2 year warranty.

Just my opinion.

We've had 3 Jaycos so far (pop up, then 1997 Eagle 314BHS, now a 2008 Eagle 322
FKS) Made the BIG mistake before the latest Eagle of getting a Rockwood. Nothing but headaches. I'm definitely of the opinion that Jayco builds quality products and is very supportive if something does go wrong. Have fun with your new TT!
