I dug my out my TENS unit after about 20 years and really need some materials or experiences about the different functions and when to use what.
If you have a though please share.
Neat video by Bob the TENS man I found.

I use what is basicly the Tens 2500 unit. I use it differently from what the video shows. I set the pads on both sides of where the pain is, which is usually the lower back, about L 3-4-5, and I power the unit up until I have it really throbbing and I can feel the electricial impulses jumping almost through my body. It feels best for me when I can feel it more than the pain. I adjust the settings until I am really comfortable with the width and pulse settings. That is the way my Doctor told me to use it. If anyone else touches the pads while they are being used they experience a shock that they say feels like they stuck their finger in a 120 volt outlet. but as long as it feels good to me is all that counts. I have been using my tens unit for about 12 years now.
Thanks for the video.

My use of a tens unit is an option based on weather. I also place two pads in the L3-L5 region but raise the power just to a tingling sensation. The second set of pads, one is one my thigh and the other just above the knee. Power to this set is slightly more or less than the back set based on pain.
After a period of about twenty to twenty-five minutes I move the second set to the other leg. Same time frame on the other leg.
If rain or snow is forecast within a twenty four hour period that's when I use my unit. It also helps when there is a change in the barometric pressure.

My husband uses his TENS machine every morning (and sometimes at night). He's had two back surgeries and has some level of pain most of the time. The TENS helps him get going.
Thanks for the video.

I had very bad muscle spasms on my side from coughing and the TENS unit worked wonders. DH put the pads just above and below where the pain was coming from and after 20 minutes (adjust the pulse to a level that feels comfortable to you)I was almost like new.
