Heading to FW on Friday. Wife has several family members meeting us there but not staying on Disney properties. Can they get passes to the CG to come visit us?

Thanks

Yes, when you register tell them you are expecting guest. In the past they have ask us for their names. We go in a motorhome without a tow vehicle, which seemed to make a difference as to whether our guest could drive to the site or we had to go pick them up at the parking lot. They also ask us if anyone of the visitors was going to stay over night. We have had several come over for the nightly campfire and movie. You'll have a great time! Remember all Disney rules are subject to change and this is what we have experienced on several past stays at Fort Wilderness.

We've have guests just drive to our campsite...no need to check in.

Our experiences have been the same as bsshelby stated. Last year our daughter was going to visit us so we gave her name on our check in, when she arrived they cleared her through the security post and then through the check in personnel. They had her park in the lot there by the entrance and catch WD transportation to our site. I really enjoy not having a lot of private vehicles, other than golf carts, running around the park.

It is common courtesy to let the staff (we usually tell the guard house) that we are expecting guests. Give the guest(s) your site number and they are allowed in without any problem

They seem to allow an extra vehicle as long as it is a few hours and properly parked but they could ask you to move it to the outpost parking lot.

Thanks for asking this question. We are spending a week in September at my sis-in-laws, but our friends are camping at FW. This was a concern of mine. This info was timely and I'm grateful someone asked!

Just got back from FW two weeks ago today. Been going to FW since early 80's when the kids were little. Usually go 8 to 10 times a year but have cut back this past year.

Our daughter lives 20 minutes from WDW and visits us at least once each visit. Since she is bringing the 2 grandsons, I meet her in the big lot where I give her my Key To The World and the Parking Pass, she will then drive past the guard shack on the left after using the key to get past the gate and then drives to our site. Since we do not have a toad, she can park the car. When our SIL shows up for dinner, he parks in the big lot, takes the bus to the loop bus stop and then walks to the site.

Unless someone other than the people on the reservation will be staying for the night, there is no need to tell anyone about your visitors.
