Sorry this has taken so long to post. We were without internet access for a while and it just slipped my mind. Even though we're are into Class A motorhomes the following RV really got my attention.
We met a couple from Middletown OH the last week of May, who built their own “slide-off” truck camper.

It’s 26’ long with entry stairs, 10’ slide out,

It also has a full size residential bath, 120 gallon holding tanks and it's based on a White Volvo HDT.

All exterior trim is stainless steel, as are the saddle boxes under the bed and the exhaust system

The HDT was a local delivery single axle tractor with 600,000 miles, that was stretched to accommodate a “roll-off” hydraulic bed. The camper has rollers on the rear and jacks on the front so it can be removed in under 20 minutes. The reason for the roll-off function instead of a straight forward motorhome conversion…..The truck can still be used for hauling heavy equipment and supplies for work. Needless to say Jim is a metal fabricator with many years of experience.
The custom stainless steel lug nuts on the aluminum wheels were made by his wife, Judy.

This was their second camper to build and it has been in use 10 years.

I believe he told me it, (camper) was just a little over 9000 pounds dry weight.

I forgot to mention. On the front of the truck is the custom stainless steel Harley he built on a hydraulic lift.

Do you have any larger pictures (like 640x480)? These are so small it is hard to see much. Thanks!
