Had a big thunderstorm last night, lots of lightning. We lost power so I called power company and recording said no estimate of when power will be back on. That usually means all night, so we all went into MH, started up generator, turned on ac and television. It was like camping again, a fun evening.

That's one advantage I like about having the MOHO stored at the house. Done it myself..

Back when the power went out on the eastcoast, I was out of town on business. The MOHO happen to be in the drive at that time, so the DW started the generator in order to run the sump pump to keep the basement from flooding. Plus her and our son loaded the fridge with beer so they would have cold beer.

My siter in law was over this weekend with her 2 offspring. I grabbed the laptop and headed out to the MH in the driveway. I fired up the AC and I can enjoy the quiet while connected to my wireless router.
If I do it too often, they might catch on.........

We had two families that we know who arrived from the middle east to spend 2 months travelling eastern North America. There were 11 including the children and they all had large bags. We drove our MH to Toronto International airport to pick them and all their baggage up and then we drove them to Niagara Falls to get their rental vans. Normally you cannot park a personal vehicle for any length of time at the arrival terminal, but I guess the ticketers must have assumed I was a bus as they never bothered me at all. Cars trying the same thing were forced to move almost immediately. The funny thing is that the movie playing on their flight to Canada was "RV with Robin Williams, "so they were all excited to be picked in an RV. We had a great time with them.
We did a bar b cue for them at the KOA Niagara Falls on their first night in Canada, and the campground did not charge me a cent for the short term visitors. I had asked them in advance so they were looking forward to the arrival of these families.
No limo could have carried all the folks and their baggage.

In addition to peace and quiet, you don't burn any fuel and save on camping fees.

We had to have major work done on our bathrooms due to one bathroom having pipes corrode and the other one cracked a shower pan...We are having all work done at once so we didn't have shower for 3 weeks..Just one toilet and sink downstairs....Motorhome now in driveway and we used it to shower...I used it to work from home in storms and to still have power.....I just enjoy sitting in the thing....had a pipe and put grey water right to sewer clean out....
