That is how we have spent many "week after" hurricanes. One time it was 10 days before power was restored. We stayed in the house most days and camped during the evenings.

Another Fl. after the hurricane, shelter. Was in there after Charlie and even just last week. Evacuated in the MH 2 years ago and will do it again the next time when they tell us to Move It Out.
In So Cal, we have been evacuated twice due to wildfires. Sure is nice to grab photo albums, DW, dogs and go knowing I have supplies for at least 3 or 4 days already packed up.
