Fort Custer only has a 2 night minimum if you are making reservations. They " hold" a couple of sites for drive-ins or "emergency" sites for people traveling. the city of Otsego ( 15 miles north of I-94 and US 131 ) has a small park with hook-ups, but no dump. No fee. There are also several wal_marts in the area .

Just to note that the Walmarts in Kzoo have signs posted that overnight parking (i.e. RVs) are not allowed.

Woodall's lists about 5 places within 25 miles (smallest search option) of Kallamazoo.
Near K'zoo

You may need too free-register to view results (I'm not sure), but Woodall's is a good resource.

Good list. I forgot about Shady Bend. It's just a mile or two north of Fort Custer. I've never stayed there but I have heard good things about it.

If you can drive a little farther to I196 there is a KOA that's just 4 miles north of I94. That would probably save some time as Fort Custer can take a few minutes to get to from I94.

ts4312,
Have you came up with a place to overnight yet? PM me if you need to use my back yard. I don't have enough amps to run air conditioner but power for everything else. I'm 70 miles east of Kalamazoo so not quite as far as you wanted to go. Randy
