The only advantage I see is it eliminates getting past the navigator seat and out the door with all the food etc., without dropping any. Yeah, I'm a klutz.

Unless I couldn't manage the steps in and out what's the point? Just seems like a lot of weight and mechanical problems with little benefit.

Exactly right! This is a wonderful option for the handicapped. If you can navigate stairs why be confined to a 4 1/2' wide "patio". More like a hallway than a patio. JMHO.

That's really neat. The patio would be a great place for our dog.

What happened to the roof deck idea? I think it was Airstream that once had a motorhome with a stairway to the roof, which could be set up like a deck. How about a vertical "slide-up" to make a two-story coach? (Tongue firmly in cheek)

I'm not sure about this. I personally would like to see new units with improved fuel usage. Not sure how many of those they would sell? I guess there are those that have disposable income for anything. But me, hopefully a DP with better fuel use per miles in the future. I want to travel in a few years and with the costs now, I"m waiting on improved MPG before trading. I don't want to downsize from a 40'DP. We enjoy the comfort, the ride and handling. But really don't need a front porch. We have that at home... Oh well.
