How tragic. Just another reason why it is a bad idea to loan out a RV.

Oh no, what a horrible thing for that family. I always try to keep safety as a top priority when camping and travelling. So many on this forum take a lot of chances with the life of themselves and their families. Just a tragic situation.

That reporter should go back to journalism school as should the editor who did the headline. I have no clue what happened from the article other than the tragedy of a life lost.

This is very sad and the kids watching their mother die. Connecting and disconnecting equipment is SO dangerous. Looking at tailgates and bumpers shows things can get out of control fast. It seems few camp grounds are flat either.

This story is a good reason not to loan out RV equipment I agree. I think there are just too many things that can go wrong like in this case, MH tire blowing, etc. Several families are directly changed for the rest of their lives in cases like these.

Although the story is confusing, it sounds as if they borrowed the vehicle, not the camper.

Perhaps the reason the story is confusing is that the police were still trying to sort it out at press time?

My prayers go out to the children and friends and family...

You just never know when it will be your time to go.

very sad and tragic one more reason i dont loan my things out. kind of sounds like either the TV was left in gear or the one thing a lot of people forget to do set the e-brake at all times. it is the safest way to go. my wife and i set ours everytime we stop the car before we put it into park.
