If we are on a long trip, we usually run about 700-800 miles in 1 day pulling the TT, sleep a few hours then get up and do it again.

It all depends on how much time I have and how far I have to go in that amount of time. Up to 500 miles. Looks like this years trip will vary alot. Longest day is 375 and have several days of only 50 miles travel.

We try to get to the next RV park at about 3:00. Thats about 250 miles or so. We then are set up before dark. As for distance it really doesn't matter, we really don't have a schedule and don't want one. However we do have a plan on what we are going to do and were we are going. GBHY....

Try to figure you trip on an average of 50 mph. You may not be able to average that. But it is a good place to start. 500 miles is gonna be a little over 10 hours, and 1000 will be over 20 hours. A bit much for most people.
You may be running 65 mph on the highway. But you have to figure in stopping for fuel, food, and restroom. That will bring the average down to 45 to 50 mph.
It's even hard for the truck drivers make 1000 miles a day, running double. And their trucks will run 10 to 15 hours between fueling

Just completed a trip from Atlanta to Phoenix and back with points of interest in between. Driving a Class A with an 8.1 Vortec pulling a 2800 lb toad. Max in one day was 560, minimum 250. We stop about every 3 hours. Road type, traffic, etc makes a difference.
I would rather drive a long day and have an extra day at destination.
DW and I laugh because when we started our goal was to be at destination by 3pm. Boy have we blown that.

Well, that is with two people trading off driving and I can guarantee you that we get better than 50mph average.

Usually around 300 miles, give or take a few. But, as others have posted, we like to start looking for a campground at 3:00 pm and in a CG by 4:00!

Thanks for all the feedback! I'm looking at 350-400 on longer driving days.
