Somehow, I find it difficult to get a warm fuzzy feeling over a 'free' $13.50 dump. or maybe the quotes belong around '$13.50'. Tough call.

Prolly just me, though...

You must be an employee of Camping World, as you seem to have the same attitude.

It seems to be working fine for them.

Presidents club is a pretty good value at $20. As long as you shop there. If you never buy anything it doesn't work. The CW store at lazy Days is huge, and the staff is always very pleasant. They don't have a dump statiopn but Lazy Days does, and it is free.

That same clerk may be very nice most of the time, but she may have been trying to recover from a nasty customer. She needs a better refresh time to be sure. I try to give folks benefit of the doubt, try to get a smile, but sometimes to no avail.

Want to hear a worse one tho? I was at a music fest, dry camping in a TC with a 20 gallon tank. They came around, seemed like a great idea, get rid of the waste and weight, the hassle of dumping later, and they charged me (after the fact) aboout $35. I made the mistake of assuming it would be a reasonable price. Never will I assume that again. I paid it and kept quiet, my wife would have become unglued. I wasn't about to have them put it back either.

Was the store tied to a dealership or stand alone? It may make a difference in policy. Our local campgrounds here in South Central FL charge very close to the same dump fee as this CW does.

This is all one large Camping World - store and RV Sales. The RV sales part used to be Meyers RV with a Camping World Store tied to the dealership. Now it is all Camping World.

If a previous patron messed things up and the store reacted blame the abuser of the service not the provider. I would like to know both sides of the story.

What "both sides of the story" ?? I went in, patronized the store, was (over)charged for use of the dump station which I now learn that I shouldn't have been charged for, and was treated like******in the process. What other side of the story might you think there is? OR, Am I mis-understanding your comment?

but if they charge you there is tax on a service just like alignments.........

But they do the alignment, they don't allow you to use their facilities to do it yourself.

Near us,(10 miles) there is a city owned RV facility with a dump station that we use from time to time when we are some place that doesn't have a dump station, which is rare. The charge there has always been very modest definitely under $5.00.

I also love the fact that some rest stops in some states have free dump stations.

I always join the Pres. Club only if my purchase more than pays for the membership by the discounts of that purchase.

A lot of shabby treatment to customers could be eliminated by name tags. I've suggested that the "cheap" help at campgrounds should be required to wear nametags. That way, it would be a lot easier to voice an opinion to management when someone treats you well or crappy by name. Same with Camping Worlds and WalMarts etc.

Sometimes talking to the manager right then, or at least the highest person on duty can do a lot.

I was in a Walmart that is currently undergoing remodeling. This isn't my local Walmart mind you. Anyway I walked from hardware through toys headed for the garden department where my wife and F-I-L were shopping. I had just left the hardware and happened to look to my left and saw Barbie dolls, something that belongs in toys and to my right, right across from the end cap of Barbies was an end cap of Condoms and KY jelly.

Mind you, I am a pretty laid back person, normally I would laugh at it and not think of it further had it been in any other department than toys. I took the time to get the highest ranking person in the store, this was on a Sunday, and voice my concerns. The display was moved before the next day.

I for one am glad that Mr. Lemonis took the time to respond to the childish rants of someone that wanted something for free. When you were told that it would be $13 you had a choice to take it or not. You chose to take it and then come complain here, shame on you!

You also complain about attitude from an employee, holy cow Batman! It is hard to find an employee without an attitude these days.

Mr Lemonis, I want to thank you for providing the FREE DUMP service when it was free. I never used it but I am sure there are many people that did and never said thanks. Just because you offered it for free at one time does not mean it will be free forever. Remember when TV and Radio was free? How about ice or a cup of water?

And THANK YOU for sponsoring NASCAR!
