Greeting everyone from Buffalo Wyoming. We have stopped for the night after Todd drove 9 hrs. today & not wanting to drive the Bighorns at night. Around 5hrs. tomorrow to reach Yellowstone. So far the trip has gone well, just a crabby kid once in awhile, no names needed.

we are at Deer trail in Nekoosa and some nasty storms are coming thru right now my kid and his GF wanted to ride it out in the tent.
Michelle strap that crapping kid to the spare tire have a great trip.

Just tell him your going to get out the honey and then find the bear dump. I can remember stories like that from when I was a kid.
You could have stopped and picked me up on your way!! Spending the weekend at home or as much at home as possible with the work schedule.

Try this one. When we went on vacation we gave the kids $10.00 per day if they didn't fight squabble or give us any guff. If they did they lost the money. This money was to be used to buy themselves there soveniers, extras like an ice cream bar ect. It taught them how to behave and how to spend there money wisely because we weren't buying the extras on the vacation. They ate every bite of that ice cream they bought not only eating half of it because it was mom and dads money and bought items they really wanted, not ones they just thought they wanted and never used. We figured we got off cheap. No fighting and two happy parents. It only took each of them once to loose a day to get there attention. I also didn't give them there money till the next day so they had to earn it.

Ahhhhh, what a fun weekend! NOT!!!! Saturday, once I got home from the store, I did some "basic" cleaning around the house and got the kids to clean a couple rooms that THEY dirtied up . . . and Sunday, I came home and cleaned the living and dining room carpeting! Oh yea, that was FUN!
We're having a bunch of company next weekend, and since I'm having my surgery this Thursday, I won't be able to do much this weekend, (kind of hard to work a vacuum cleaner when you're forced to use crutches ) so I figured I'd get it done now. Hey Butch . . . maybe you can set me up with a RIDING VACUUM CLEANER?
My mom is coming on Friday (she feels the need to help take care of me while I'm recuperating and can't move around much). Think I can convince her to clean the bathrooms (all three?!) Maybe I can set her up on the lawnmower to cut the grass? After all, our mower was once theirs! She SHOULD know how to use it! LOL
Whether the house is clean or not, and whether I'm still a bit "gimpy", I'm VERY MUCH looking forward to our company! They're folks we don't see as often as we'd like and always have a lot of fun with -- we love 'em like family. In fact, they're even better than family, 'cuz we don't argue! LOL

Anyone else have straight line winds and 2 inches of rain thiis morning? Firewood is just falling out of the trees all over the yard around here. I stood at the back door at 5 am and watched the camper to see if it was on the move with the winds and after a bit I couldn't see it anymore. Winds were around 60-70+ and rain came down hard. Camper never moved though and was completely dry inside. Other than the soft maple in the back yard thats slowly bringing itself to the ground and a few other shedding a few branches and the apple tree thats done for, we were good to go. The corn crib door on the ground is another matter though. Someone else will have to take care of that.
Sound like a good weekend to go camping Julie. I think you will find many servants to make your down time comfortable. Good luck.
