Julie, I know that in Rio last weekend the bees were out quite a bit.
I don't know if you remember me - I'm Lori, Sky & Joe's friend that was still using a tent. I now have moved up to a pop-up though. Yea!
Not going to like having a lot of bees around! Everyone better be careful with their beer & pop cans! My sister got stung on the inside of her lip once from a bee that climbed into her beer. She literally SPIT IT OUT OF HER MOUTH! I never heard such a blood curdling scream in all my life!
Hopefully they're not too bad. I know my youngest son, Jamison, stepped into his shoe this summer and there was a bee in it. That was not good - his foot swelled up a bit (as well as his eyes with tears) but nothing we didn't handle.
Poppin-up-fun wrote: Hey you guys....this is Lori. I'm finally a member, wow quite the procrastinator, huh? Yes, I know - I've been to enuf rallys to have joined by now, but better late than never I say. Anyway, I'm counting down the days with ya. Scott & I will probably be up on Thursday nite. Can't wait to get this party started.
HEY LORI!! Glad to see you on here finally. Barely a week away! I can't wait. Camper is all cleaned and ready to go again

Yea, Martha was NOT a happy camper! Her lip swelled up pretty bad . . . and worst of all, we had a family portrait being taken the next day! The swelling went down quite a bit and you can't even tell, unless you know . . .
We have had several sweat bees flying around lately. Seems like home is where the bugs are lately. The crickets finally gave up the calling and trying to get into the basement, flies have all but flown away, and now those stinky beetles have woken up and are starting to come in.
On the plus side I just got home from delivering the camper to the Muscatine County fairgrounds for the last race of the year this weekend. Been a long season (around 20 different weekends) and I think we only missed one or two weekends of camping during the races whether they were at the fairgrounds, out in Ohio, or at the world famous Knoxville raceway in Knoxville, Iowa. Did take time out to go to a county park one weekend and actually relax though. Really looking forward coming up to the rally too!!
Camping season won't be over for me hopefully for a while.

I have sad news. Bob has a seizure had at work this morning 5:00 am
