The Rally was a BLAST We couldn't have asked for better weather or better people to party with!!! Thanks Dave & Amy and everyone else for ensuring such a great time! I think I've finally worn Jeff down. Hope to have a 5er in time for the Spring Rally!!
On another note . . . I cannot locate my prescription sunglasses I'm guessing I took them off somewhere and walked away If anyone finds a pair of sunglasses laying around their trailer or amongst their things . . drop me a line, if you could.
Thanks again everyone!! Look forward to seeing you all at the Spring Rally.
Oh - Mrs. Mik - where will you be posting the recipe for MOO????
Take care.

SpongeTodd no pants is gone this week so he wanted me to make sure if there was anyone he missed saying goodbye to he apoligizes for that. I know I missed a few people also.
OK folks, here's the recipe for the MOO cake I made for the Saturday potluck. If you missed it . . . well, sucks to be you! It was one of the most incredible, simple desserts I've ever made in the Dutch oven! And truth be told, I don't think I ever had that much fun, all because of a chocolate cake! It used to be called a "Rocky Road Cake" but we had to change the name after trying it!
Quote:
1 box chocolate cake mix, mixed as directed
3/4 cup chopped walnuts
1 (12 oz.) bag chocolate chips
1/2 bag mini marshmallows
Place a layer of marshmallows in 10" Dutch oven. Mix cake as directed, adding walnuts, remaining marshmallows and chocolate chips. Pour over marshmallows in Dutch oven. Bake at 350 (14 coals on top; 7 on bottom) until done (about 35 minutes or so).
I'm so pleased that everyone enjoyed themselves at the rally. Amy & I appreciate all of the nice comments & ideas we received and are honored that we were asked to do it again next fall
What you need to know now is the NEXT FALL RALLY we're going to try something different with setting up the reservations at Indian Trails.
I spoke with Myrna @ Indian Trails and we are going to be allowing everyone to make their own rally site reservations directly with the campground for the 2009 FALL RALLY. It will be first come first reserve with the same grouping of sites in the Totem field area we just used. So if you liked your site reserve it again if it's available, if you want to be in a different one see if it's available when you call in I'd suggest that you be prepared with a first and second choice when you call Indian Trails. All you need to do is call Indian trails during business hours between now and the fall rally and let them know you're with the RV.Net group. Then PM me confirming the site # you reserved so I have the right info when I start the 2009 Fall Rally thread. Simple as that Please be aware that you will be subject to their cancellation and other policies.
Again thanks to all for making this a great rally. Let's keep this thread alive until Marty & Wendy start up the Spring Rally thread after the first of the year.
P.S. Who knows the words to the "Sponge Todd no pants" song?
thats a cake I need to wash down with big glass of ice cold milk
will that recipe work in the oven?
Oh yea, Mike, milk works if you don't have the Captain available! (sorry, inside joke).
Sure, you can make it in the oven at home, but it won't taste as good as in the Dutch oven. A 10" Dutch oven is 4 quarts, so that's the size casserole-type dish you'd need to use.
