We've only had it 3 months. Last night some punk vandals stuck a knife through the kitchen window/screen, making an 8" gash. I am just sick about it.
Anyone had to have something like this repaired? What is involved? How much can I expect to pay?
I am beyond furious.

Wow, that sucks. But try to put it in perspective, it's not the end of the world. Watch that blood pressure!
here's a link to a patch kit that will provide a decent, albeit not like new, fix. It will set you back a good $7.

good luck.

I am so sorry to hear that! Yes there are punks around that have not had any upbringing to teach them what it means to be a human being. Did that happen in a camp ground or where? I guess they were not trying to break in, sounds like just ignorant vandals. You can surely have it repaired, or check with your dealer, some of the different models can have a section replaced. That is one of those things, like why the heck me? Hope you can let it go, hope that the punks are caught and brought to justice. Did you file a police report? WOW so many things must have crossed your mind. Sorry

It was in our driveway at home! We had it set up so we could do some cleaning and packing.
Our insurance has a $500 deductible. So that's the least it will cost us to get it fixed, I'm sure.
We'll probably just patch it for now, so we can use it this coming weekend.
These rotten punks were on a spree last night. The police (yes we filed a report) said they got 20 reports from our neighborhood and nearby area.

How horrible for you! But I hope you can patch it and enjoy it for many years to come. I've patched screens and they were fine afterwards. The new patches are rather nice, much better than the "silk" stockings we used to painstakingly stitch over holes in screens!

Probably one of your gutless neighbors, neighbors and rv's don't mix too well. Ours are total creeps about us parking on the street before a trip, a rig none of them could affort. I think in 2007 our MH was on the street less than seven non-consequtive nights, yet they call the cops and lie about it being stored on the street and even gone so far as to call the fire department, saying their trucks could not get down the street. Creeps, total creeps. Sorry this happened to you, but I would not look much further then your own neighbors.

Sorry about that. Really feel for you. We just got a new Fleetwood. I've been worried about that type of thing as well. We have a problem with that in our community. Another reason I should clean the garage out to make room for my pup. Just last week somebody went into the glove box of my van, which was parked in my drive way and took a camera. We usually always lock it, but that night we forgot to.
I might not sleep tonight.

I am sorry to hear of your damage. I am also glad the person stopped with an eight inch cut and didn't really rack up some serious cutting damage. Maybe this approach will help keep your blood pressure in check. Being the victim of vandals is never fun, but if you can cover their damage for $7 ... good luck is still with you.
