MH magazine has it on the cover and the write-up says they have 4 models that will have the "Veranda". IMHO it's only useful if you live near the Mississippi river.

If you read the article in this months Motorhome Magazine it is in production and it comes in several different styles and floorplans.

We haven't received our copy yet! Looks interesting, but structurally speaking, that sliding glass doors would give me pause. But I do love their ingenuity and interest in keeping MH design fresh!

Yeh, going down the steps to your "patio" can be such a pain. Stupid idea if you ask me.

I agree, can't see a lot of demand for this not to mention the mechanical problems it could pose in the long term. It is too bad they can't spend that engineering talent to design more quality into the current models they build.

Guess in a few years when you want to remodel the interior, it will be extremely useful :-)

BBQ should not be a problem if you shut the glass sliding door while cooking. It is something different but not as event friendly as the Airstream with the deck on top.

Yeah! And I see so many of THOSE out on the highway.....

Come on Sully, your one of the sharpest guys on here, you should know the answer to that. Airstream Sportdecks were mostly produced to be leased out for corporate functions, very few got into the hand of the general public. Most if not all didn't even have bedrooms. I have seen and been in a few at Daytona during the races, real cool vehicle. One of the ones I was in was leased to Dewalt Tools...

This could be a concept motorhome and the the August magizine is probably close to press so this is a possible cover that someone got hold of and made public or a good cut and paste job. June is still on the web site.

It's not a concept motorhome, Country Coach is planning to offer the veranda as an option on several existing floorplans, which will then be renamed because they include the veranda. They've been developing it and are now ready to start offering it - but it isn't available yet, which is why there is no price in the article. Also, I imagine that pricing will vary depending on which veranda floorplan you choose.

The August magazine has been delivered to subscribers, I'm holding one now. Other people have theirs too, so I doubt this is a cover "someone got hold of and made public," it's already available to the public.

I think it's really cool and if I could afford one, I'd get one. We're a bbq-ing family and I love the idea of bbq-ing out there, or enjoying my morning cup of coffee on the veranda with a good book.
