Have a question. The 110v outlet on the outside of our C doesn't work. Everything else works...all the lights, all electrical outlets inside, etc. I've checked the fuse panel and there's no tripped breakers. What should I check now? TIA!!!

That might very well be a GFI, and needs to be reset. If it is, press the test botton then the rest.

Or, pull out the receptacle and see if all the wires are still intact.

Yeah, if it is a GFI outlet then it will have two buttons, test and reset, and pressing the reset button should restore power.

I'm not sure what was meant by pulling the outlet and checking the wiring. A visual inspection of the wiring is valuable. If you do pull the outlet be sure to also check that you have 120V on the wires going to it.

Before you pull the outlet however I would very thoroughly inspect the interior of the coach for outlets that you may have been unaware of. I am certain that the outside outlets on any recent MH are protected by a GFI. The outside outlets themselves do not have to be GFIs though because you can "daisy chain" many ordinary outlets off of one GFI outlet and protect them all. So it is possible that you have a GFI outlet in some obscure corner of your coach that is protecting the outside outlet. If it is tripped you will have to find and reset it in order to restore your outside power. It is better to look for it now than to rip out half the wiring in your coach only to find it later!

I agree it sounds very much like gfi issue. Look around any where you have water in the coach for gfi. I have gfi under the cabinets in the kitchen area and all the time I used that outlet I didn't notice until I was working on the floor and looked up and saw the buttons. I thought glad to know that as I would have been looking all over and only checking the one in the bath. Good luck.

Thanks everyone! Turns out it was the GFI in the bathroom had tripped. Reset it and everything is fine now. That's what I love about this forum board! Clueless folks like us can get all the advice and assistance we need with just a couple of clicks on the keyboard.

All duplex outlets close to water (Like in the bath Rm) and all outside, must be the GFI type. But you only need one GFI outlet, and can connect up to 4 others on that circuit, like yours. Its a code requirement for safety, and is vary common in newer houses, as well as RVs.

I popped my GFI when I was washing mine not long after I got it. I couldn't for the life of me figure out why the fridge quit working on 110. I then stumbled upn the GFI that was popped from me spraying water into the outside outlet no doubt.
