Hey Lovarescue
Just in case you don't want to re-invent the wheel, Wally World sells just what you're looking for, a really neat 12v fan for about $10. Just plug it in and clip wherever you want. We've had two for several years and the're still going strong.

In my WW toy hauler I have a high mounted fume exhaust vent. I opened the inner pop out door and cut to shape an 1/8" plexi-glass plate to cover the entire hole. I then cut out a circle for a 3" 12volt computer fan. Soldered it to a 12v cigarette lighter plug and plugged it in to the auxiliary jack next to the television. (Just to note, although I really don't like the size of these connectors, there is a multi-drop available so plug one male in to get four sockets.) The fan is only 27cfm but since it seals the vent except for the 3" round hole of the fan it forces the hot air out helping to keep the inside temperature under control. It runs all the time and because its a brushless motor, its quiet.
I've found when the trailer is parked, my four ceiling vents haven't seemed very effective unless there's a breeze.
I use a vornado fan in the front of the trailer to help circulate the air, and a small fan near the computers to help circulate the hot computer exhaust. It seems to work okay. Before I was trying to blow air at the fume exhaust vent but that's like trying to blow air into a bottle. Not much air actually went out the vent.

Wild Goose,
If you are interested in a computer fan with a higher oupput here is one that does 99 CFM. It has a ball bearing shaft. 4.68 in square. Less than 5watts. $11.95.
I have been considering replacing my range hood fan with this one. My current fan is 18 watts and very loud.

42dB. I use Antec Black Sonata computer cases just so I don't hear them running.
I typically buy from other electronics distributors but thanks for the lead.
Though they're 118vac, I love the Vornado portable fans for room air circulation when plugged into power because they're very focused and very quiet on the lower speeds.
