Road Rage is an escalation of anger into unsafe actions of which this is a perfect example. Your driving error was taken as aggressive behavior on the truck drivers part and his reaction was excessive and dangerous. Most truck drivers are smart enough and professional enough to stay safe and not do stupid things like this driver.

Just be glad it is over with no injuries or property damage. We have found the average truck driver to be safer and more courteous than most other vehicle drivers.

How do you know it was on purpose....The truck driver might have been trying to upright a cup of java that was upset when he had to swerve to miss you...It is just best to wave off something like this and go on with your life. And try to be more careful next time.....We share the road with other people not with vehicles.

Exactly. Everyone (including that truck driver) has accidentally drifted out of their lane at least once and it's not a reason to try and wreck somebody.

How do you KNOW ( positively) it was intentional???? If the RVers wasnt paying attention ( his own admission) Im sure he didnt give the semi driver the "all clear sign" to move back over !! And MAYBE the semi driver wasnt sure just how far ahead of the RVer he was??

Dont worry..I dont believe it either...but to refer to the truck drivers movements as "homicide" is purely assinine!

IS there an international sign for sorry when driving? Might prevent a lot of retaliation driving if there was.

Road rage ??? I would take the truckers action to mean more like "wake up idiot" Two wrongs do not make a right. But "we" only have one side of the story anyway...

It sounds like the truck driver thought you were trying to cut him off. His actions may not have pleased you, but I am sure your action of drifting over into his lane didn't please him much either. Personally, I would have been on the CB apologizing. It pays to pay attention, we are not the only ones on the road. Thankfully nobody was hurt.

Drifting happens . Maybe next time a professional truck driver will be involved.
A professional truck driver would have used their skills to cause a safe resolution to your drifting . A Ya Hoo takes it personally and looks for revenge

Road rage has nothing to do with experience, it has to to with attitude and disposition. A newly licensed teenager driving a glorified go-cart can be just as dangerous as an RVer driving a 10-ton motorhome or a trucker driving a 40-ton 18-wheeler, when your thoughtless actions provoke the anger and retaliation of others. Thankfully no one was hurt by your inattention or his retaliation or inattention, whichever it was. Unfortunately, from time to time we all have to react to a driver's thoughtless inattention or deliberate idiotic actions. The point is, if you survive the original incident, not to let that action provoke YOU into retaliation. This makes more and more sense the older and wiser I get.

Any of us driving big rigs (rv or commercial) must remain constantly attentive. I've actually seen rvs cut off more people than trucks. We may eventually see states requiring special licenses for large rvs over 26,000#, just as they do for commercial vehicles. I think in general rvers are worse drivers than commercial truckers.
