I had a disturbing experience with an 18 wheeler the last time out. I was in the right lane doing 55 and came over a hill with a decent turn afterwards. I wasn't paying as much attention as I should have been and wound up going about 1 foot into the left lane. The trucker was coming up fast and passing me on this same turn, which caused him to have to move over so we didn't bump. Well, once we straightened out he promptly pushed his big rig into my lane about 2' making me hit the shoulder in response. This could have been a very bad situation, to the point of vehicular homicide. I couldn't believe someone would actually do that.

Road rage. We do not do something dumb just because it was done to us.

hmmmm, jb hunt advertisement....
Drivers wanted - no experience necessary!

Every bad encounter I have ever had on the road involved a JB Hunt truck. I stay clear of these trucks at all times.

You should have immediately had one of your passengers call the police.

What you experienced is a form of road rage. The other driver could have just as easily been in a car, being a truck driver has nothing to do with it.

One thing to keep in mind is that these days many truck drivers are driving long hours with little rest and under the gun to meet schedules and make payments on their rigs amid rising diesel costs. They are not all in good moods and fresh as a daisy when you drift into their lanes.

And don't forget the possibility that his coming over the line could have been just as accidental as yours. I stopped counting the number of times big rigs have pushed me out of my lane. That is one reason I no longer drive right next to a big rig (or RV for that matter) any more than I have to.

Exactly. Everyone (including that truck driver) has accidentally drifted out of their lane at least once and it's not a reason to try and wreck somebody.

This is an amusing post!
The Rver drifts into the trucks lane while the truck was passing.
To some this proves that truckers are inexperienced and prone to road rage.

I suppose if the trucker had dropped a wheel of the shoulder and crashed his rig, that also would have proven his inexperience!
