When u exit campground, take a right. Go about 2 miles or so and eat at Elmos on the right. A hole in the wall, but pretty good food.

We enjoyed Goatfeathers, The Lucky Snapper, Donut Hole and a Mexican Restaurant in the outlet mall. What I really enjoyed was the DW and I got some grouper fillets and shrimp at a seafood market down the road from Topsail. Grilled it with some Cajun spice, was really enjoying. Like mentioned earlier, you can eat a different place every day for a month and not run out of good places to try.

Stinky Fish Camp - had very good unique seafood selections - from the look of the place you would never believe how good the food was - the cam office has menus of all the local restaurants and gave us some great recommendations. We also hit up the seafood market and grilled shrimp one night -

There was also a restaurant (ask the office) by the winn dixe that had a dozen raw shrimp for 2.99 - I had two dozen!

I vote Capt. Dave's on the Gulf. Also take Hwy 98 East of campground to a strip mall on left. Has a great Pizza place. Can't remember the name. Watched the Super Bowl there during our Mardi Gras stay last Feb. Steve A. Dagro

Was there last week and hit our normal favorite McGuires as well as relatively new Cheeseburger in Paradise there at the Silver Sands Outlet. Back Porch and Fudpuckes are two other favorites.

Yes, they do take plastic now. They have signs on the registers now. They still have an ATM in the lobby too.
