Have any of you considered what you are going to do once the TV signal is converted to digital. I have a 2006 Roo with the concertone TV/ DVD/Radio package. I am happy how it picks up the TV signals from the antenna. I guessing it is not a digital receiver. Besides the hassle of splicing into the existing antenna line, I understand that the digital conversion box also needs to be plugged in. There goes any boon docking!!

Any idea?

well you could run the converter off of an invertor if you have enough batteries. you could just get a new 12 volt digital TV. you could enjoy camping without TV. no hassle splicing, just unscrew a fitting.

Most converters I've seen only draw 15-20 watts....with very minimal inverter, that's about the same as running a single-filament auto bulb in a typical RV fixture.....just shut off the lights! There have been a number of posts on this subject already---many are doing it this way...

I was just looking at my set up... it looks like it will be a slight pain to hook the converter box inline. Looks like I will have to remove my concertone unit and find where the antenna connects and splice it there? Then there is the problem of making a nice hole to run the cable inside the unit.

Everything on my unit is internal, the only output from my antenna is after it goes through the concertone receiver, it then goes to the LCD monitor. I looked up previous posts... they suggested that you hook up the digital converter after the antenna power booster. Anyone tried this?

This makes the most sense. Your signal has been boosted and it will provide a better signal once converted.
