If yer talking about just plain ole 85/15 or 90/10 bio diesel that ya buy at the pump then yea, yer truck's ready to go. I've been in the midwest where ther was no option but to buy biodiesel and our D/A burns it fine.
Happy camping!!! See ya'll down the road!!!

The only thing that I found to be true is that the BioDiesel has a solvent like cleaning ability that will get the gunk out of your tank and fuel lines, potentially clogging the fuel filter until several tanks have been ran thru the system. So keep several new fuel filter elements handy so you can change them when needed!

This is true and you might even consider installing a quality pre pump filter like the Dahl 100 that uses much cheaper filters and actually removes any free water from the fuel which the stock 7.3L in valley filter is vastly lacking and ineffective. The stock 7.3 in valley filters have gotten sort of pricey in the last several years.

According to manufacture no more than B5 or 5% bio. I would assume 10% or 15% bio would also be ok as long as it doesn't get too cold out. I have seen 100% bio down to 75% bio wipe out injectors.

My first question is why are you running #1? I am hoping that it was a typo...as your truck will love you much more with #2 in the tank.
With the advent of the ULSD...the diesel just doesn't have the "slickness" that it used to have. Adding 10% bio will help to return the lubricity to the fuel. I have seen a study where a mixture as low as B2 is sufficient to return the lubricity back to where its supposed to be for our injectors.
In my area...even though we are agricultural...not many places are carrying Bio-D. I have been running a mixture of 2-cycle oil in the tank for quite some time. (1oz 2-cycle to 1 gallon of diesel). This stuff works great. My truck has never been quieter...gained a bit with mpg...and I can find 2-cycle oil in just about any town I stop in if I run out.
