I leave the hitch on the Burb, and lay the bars across the tongue behind the propane tanks.

"Why remove it?"
A friend of mine told me I should start removing mine when I'm using the pickup for errands because they seem to disappear. At the horse shows, there isn't much of a problem of theft. Who wants to mess with a cowboy? Or cowgirl for that matter!
I learned back in the early 90s to go wide around my dad's pickup hitch. It only took a few times of "better not do that again!" to learn it hurts!

mine is locked when on the truck... I have read post where someone had the pin pulled on them while they were shopping and when they pulled out the trailer fell to the ground and did a lot of damage... I suppose who ever did it thought it would be funny...
I leave it under the trailer in a CG if I don't want it on the truck...
