I can now sleep at night. I have also had a cervical spine fusion, rt ankle, and knee surgery. Maybe I have more problems tan others but honestly it did not help.
the good news is that if you buy the generic/cheap stuff, you aren't out a bunch of money to try it for 2- 3 months. I'd say it certainly is worth a try.

G/C helped my mil with her osteoarthritis, but she had to quit taking it because it elevated her blood sugar. They did nothing for my dh, but his arthritis is a different type, autoimmune based.
If the large pills are difficult to swallow, there are liquid versions available.

perhaps another brand would have less bad stuff in the tablets, assuming that the glucosamine isn't the problem itself? I'd look into it, will check my labels and see what it sez about ingredients. I take the stuff and my fasting levels are 60-88 so not a problem for me.
the label on mine sez, each tablet contains Calories 10, total carbohydrate 1 g, less than 1 % of DV, contains shellfish, crab, shrimp.

Meant to post this ages ago. A Mayo Clinic study indicates that glucosimine can raise blood sugar levels in some people.

Looks like I'm one of group that can't handle the glucosimine. It makes me physically sick. I've been on the pills for a couple of weeks and my system just can't tolerate. I'm going to look for the liquid supplments and if they aren't too cost prohibitive I will try them.
