A father plans to appeal after a Quebec court ruled that he didn't have the right to punish his 12-year-old daughter by barring her from a school trip.

Quebec Superior Court Judge Suzanne Tessier ruled Friday that the girl should be allowed to attend the three-day trip within Quebec this week.

Are you sure that was in Canada and not California? Sounds like something one of our judges would do.

Remember, you can't just blame California for the 9th Circus. The 9th Circus covers a large chunk of the Western part of the US. Even though the court is based in California you also have to blame Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Alaska and Hawaii. But the good news is the 9th Circus is overturned more time by the US Supreme Court than any other Circuit Court of Appeals.

The 9th Circuit Court encompasses:

Districts of Alaska, Arizona, Northern California, Central California, Eastern California, Southern California, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Eastern Washington, Western Washington, the U.S. Territory of Guam and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.

Not just California.

It's still a circus.

Not just Canada, but Quebec! This province is similar in many ways to California, as our 'Oil rich' province of Alberta is similar to Texas.

Under the circumstances described, it looks like a good decision from here. When the parents start acting like grownups, instead of spiteful brats, the courts and attorney's won't have to.

As a parent of children in approximately the same age range, I find the ruling very disturbing.

Re: Are you sure it was Canada.

Yes.. I'm sure.. I read the original article
(NO, I'm not the Original poster)

Comments: I have a bunch of 'em but... I sing in the choir, I don't preach to it and I suspect if I post my comments here... That's exactly what I'd be doing.
