Since ICE CREAM is one of the basic necessities of life we have a double door house style refer in our coach with plenty of room for the necessities. Right now I think there's 4 boxes of the mini ice cream sandwiches we're fond of in there
I'll second the "road less traveled" and we're bikers - it's always been the ride not the destination that matters.
I think the thing we're enjoying the most is not being in a hurry most of the time. We kind of make up the plan as we go along, and if the proposed plan doesn't work we just change it.

I volunteer in a hot building with no air conditioning. Downstairs in the refrigerator, you can buy a can of soda for 2 quarters or a bottle of water for 3. So I save quarters for that as well as laundry.

One of the things I've learned about fulltiming (in the 8 months we've been on the road) is that if you have a bad back, don't plan on baking much. And if you're a short person, watch out for that microwave! Get yourself a grill and learn how to cook everything on that. And a crock-pot, too.

When some people hear that I live in an rv, they instantly make a deeper connection to the conversation. Some people seem to "get it" right away. It's like they recognize something about us that they feel in themselves. Those people are more open and honest in what they say. They might share dreams of their own, talk about problems holding them back in life, or ask lots of questions about how living aboard an rv works.
I find this to be one of the most gratifying aspects of the rv. When you do something that is 'out there', it sends a signal to other people--those who secretly dream of doing the same. They step out of the woodwork and want to talk to you. It may not be an rv that interests them, but just seeing that we "went for it" and did what we dreamed of doing makes them want to share with us in a very honest way.
