All of the posts are about fuel prices. . . and those get locked and booted to ATC.

I guess I only have one solution. Go camping. We're pulling out Sunday morning. See you down the road!!

(Sorry if this makes any of you get cabin fever. . . what with your big old expensive trucks sitting out there in the driveway not getting any love. Maybe you can wash it this weekend and think about camping? OR HOOK IT UP AND GO!!!)

OK, I'm done rubbing it in, but we haven't been out since March, so I'm ready to go! Inks Lake or bust!

Yeah, we just got back from Lake Livingston and Galveston. I'm just south of you in Burleson.

Spent $700 in gasoline last month!!!

But, we had a good time. Maybe in a few weeks we'll go to Cleburne or even Tyler and do some canoeing...

have fun!!!

We just got back form 3 weeks on the road and spent about $1,300.00 for diesel. Ugh but we enjoyed it. Three weeks on the road with 4 grand kids, a trip we will all remember.

I got really excited today when I bought diesel @ $4.61 a gallon. Keeps dropping like this I might have to reschedule that CO trip.

I agree 100% with OP. Let the gas prices go up to 10$/gal, I'll still be going out. Because sitting by a campfire, next to a lake, hearing nothing but birds/animals and seeing a skyfull of stars is worth every penny spent getting there.

Begin soapbox

If the eco-friendly crowd actually practiced what they preached and got into the wild, they might actually learn about real ecology instead of just mouthing off against suv's and high gas prices.

End of soapbox

fickman, say hi to my DW for me. She's taking the kids to Inks Lake Monday through Thursday. It, along with Garner (Old), are our favorite summer parks in TX. I've got all the sand I can handle here in Iraq!
