Lawn mower wont start, fairly new on second summer. I get spark, but thought gas may be bad. disconnected fuel line and drained the gas and emptied the fuel bowl, with fuel line still disconnected sprayed starting fluid strait into the card with filter removed and still would not fire after nearly 100 pulls, someone at work suggested removeing the pull start to see if the magnito (may be spelled wrong) was lose and not lined up, does this make sense, any other tips.
Thanks, Mike R.

Is it flooded badly ? Maybe a bad spark plug?
If there is no fire at the plug wire, then yes, the mag-coil (electronic ign) may be the problem. But that requires removing the flywheel, and you may need a puller.

I removed the spark plug and it has real good spark, and the guy at work said that it is most likely fireing at the wrong time, and the magnito must be out of aline, It started up good when last useing it and was running normal until it stopped after less than 1/3 was finished on my small lawn. in the 100 or so pulls while messing with it I only got about 3 small backfires.
Might have sheared the shear pin and now is out of time.

Sounds like you are going to have to remove the flywheel. The cotter pin that aligns the flywheel may be bent. This will get the timing out of whack. Even a very small dent in the cotter pin is enough to mess things up. A backfire can cause this, or hitting something with the blade.

1: Proper fuel air mixture (Leaving gas sit in carb all winter can gum up the works, and draining won't fix, but starting fluid should have gotten SOMETHING out of it)
2: Compression, on a 4-stroke engine this involves valve timing and operation. A stuck valve WILL cause the symptoms you have.. However you can FEEL compression when you pull that roap
3: Spark, properly timed
Most small engines have a problem in this area as without exercise the points tarnish up. However you said you have good spark.. Of course you could not test timing or, more than likely, even known how to do that (And I can't tell you at this time)

this is my guess as well. Don't take much to do it. Did you hit a rock, or stump? Maybe run over the dog? How about Cat
Any way it is an easy fix, at the shop.

I have hit a rock in the past, but not while mowing this time, it just stopped, It is a craftsman from kmart, and I Paid around $150 for it, do you pay to fix a lawn mower that is just over a year old, or just toss and replace?
I assume you are talking about a push mower===If you have spark,it has nothing to do with your flywheel==If you have spark, you need fuel,if tou get fuel to the carb, the carb must be the problem Try starting fluid,or the someone to look at carb..
