Can't imagine they're much different than Montreal or Toronto....best I saw yesterday was $5.40 to a high of $5.59(Canadian)/imperial gallon.....a slightly larger "gallon" and their currency is better than ours!!!

About a buck forty-five per litre times 3.78 equals $5.48 per US gallon.

Check out this site:

http://www.gasbuddy.com/

I use it quite often when planning trips and want to know current pricing for fuel.

Thank you for the info. My credit card company started charging a percentage fee for every purchase out of the US. So this trip is a cash trip. A first for me. In the past I'd carry little cash and charge everything.

I was up in B C last month, flew there and back, rented a car.
1 of the 3 credit cards we used charged Us a fee, thats the one I will be getting rid of as soon a the bill shows up. Our ATM card worked at a bank, and the actual charge to our account was less than the $500.00 we drew out. Our bank charged us a fee to get some Canadian $$$ before we got there and to trade some back in for U S $$$, so the lesson We learned, get the cash from a bank up there and avoid the fees.

Can't remember what Diesel was but gas went up .10 a litre in about 10 days. I heard on the news that sometime soon there was going to be something like .05 cent increase in tax on fuel.

Have fun, a beautiful place !!

Check out http://www.mjervin.com/WPPS_Public.htm

It is usually more accurate than Gas Buddy. Diesel in Vancouver is $1.51/liter and Prince George will be higher than that. To convert to US$/gal, multiply by 3.97 (1.51 Can$/liter = 6.00 US$/gal)

Can you get pricing from specific towns / cities or are only the published prices available (eg. Port Alberni, BC) on the mjervin site you posted?

thanks,

Wow, 7 miles per gallon, $6.00 per gallon, 1200 miles sound like I'll be helping to pay some medical for our neighbors to the North.
