Our trip is getting closer, DD's are getting excited. Now is the time to start thinking of what to pack and what to bring for our stay at Fort Wilderness. We are heading out the 1st part of July. Can anyone tell me the weather reports for this time of year? I have heard it rains during the day, is this something normal? Also does the nights cool down at all? Our weather at this time is 25c, 77f feels like 29c 84f during the day, nights 16c, 61f. i just would like to know what to expect for night sleeping or lounging and day time fun. Any help would be appreciated.

Very hot & very humid. It does rain every day but only for about 20 min. When the rain is over it will still be very humid. Dress accordingly & you will be fine.

Afternoon temps in the high 90's. Daily rain is normal, but the evenings and nights can be quite nice; mid to high 70's. Very humid. Perfectly comfortable around a pool, less clothes the better. Cotton mandatory. AC on in your RV 24/7.

Florida in July can be very hot. That said, last year that area was just about the same temps and humidity as coastal Virginia. Since you are staying in Fort Wilderness, you will be eligible for the Extra Magic Hours {EMH} which gives you access to specific parks prior to normal opening time and access to specific parks after normal closing time. Recommend you use the early & late EMH and return to the RV in the worst heat of the day or take a cooling break in an area/restaurant/show that has A/C. Also recommend that you become very knowledgeable about the routes, and use, the Disney Transportation System.

It is hot and humid in FL. Plan to drink plenty of water! Bring a fan for use under your awning. Even with A/C, running a fan inside might prove useful. It does rain often but usually not long. As mentioned, in can get even more humid after a rain. Late evening rains can cool things off though. Bring lots of shorts and cool shirts. Light, quick drying materials are great. And, most importantly, be sure to have plenty of sunscreen! If you're not used to heavy sun use SPF 30 or 50. I like the Coppertone Sport style. A good hat helps to keep face and back of neck shaded also.

Weather will likely be different but, if prepared, y'all will have a great time at Ft Wilderness!!!

Like living in the mouth of a dog it is. Highs in the 90's with a chance of rain and thunder showers in afternoon, originating in the east and traveling westward. Wonder how many times I heard that while living down there. I swore the used pre-recorded weather reports, the same one all some long, while the weather man played golf all day. Will down pour on one side of street, and bright sun shine on the other. I understand they would of held the Olympics there but they were afraid the Javelins would get struck in the air its so humid. lol.... Have a great time and don't forget the Right Guard. Bill

Thank you everyone. now I have a better idea on dress. Like the idea on the fan and Ty for a great reminder on the sun screen. I am going to look into Coopertone. All the info is greatly appreciated. This is a wonderful place to be.

Helpful hint when visiting the park(s)... Bring a change of clothing with you and rent a locker. Works great for after the 2-4pm showers and if you want to cool off on some of the water rides. Then you don't have to take that journey all the way back to the RV. Also we always bring snacks in and put in the locker. Saves a bit of $$ when just wanting something quick and fast.
